We aim to be different
Forming a strategy involves making an abstraction of the current situation, configuring the desired situation, and concretizing plans that bridge the difference between the two.
Audax work as a sky-lift or crane, guiding clients in the travel up and down in abstraction and enriching it with insight.
Most organizations could do more

Decisions are based on intentions. We want to challenge clients to aim for audacious goals, dare to make significant rethinking and realize a large constructive impact.
We are leaning forward and want our clients to do the same. Therefore, we prefer working with clients that want something, helping them lift the gaze, form a grand long-term vision, and develop bold strategies to achieve it.

We start from a blank page and then ask a number of difficult questions
Though questions in respectful discussions lead to a fast co-definition of problems and challenges. It’s a process that in itself is both enriching and fun. With the strategic situation clarified, we help clients identify the most urgent issues and discuss in what order to address them.
Drawing on our rich experience and theoretical expertise, we often modify existing strategy models or even invent new ones to build a way forward.
We want to "lose" our clients

We learn a lot from our clients so it is only reasonable that we share our knowledge with them as well. So while doing an assignment, we are open with our models and methods and aim to transfer as much insights as possible. We aim for clients to not need us anymore when we are done.
We believe that in the long term, the world will be better if organizations and people improve. Therefore, we don’t see our clients as ‘accounts’ - we see them as partner travelers on a journey toward a better future.

Ethics and sustainability
Audax may decline to work with organizations that we see as having a destructive purpose unless the assignment is specifically about changing those aspects we disagree with. We do not engage with clients that are irresponsible in how they exploit natural resources, run their operations, or treat people inside and around their organization.
Similarly, we make continuous efforts to reduce our footprint and improve ourselves. We also have a zero-tolerance policy against abusive or unpleasant behavior toward our staff.
Who we are
Audax consolidates knowledge and insights from founder Dr. Kent Thorén, the team and our network, into useful strategic advice for ambitious organizations

Dr. Kent Thorén has delivered advice through constructive executive dialogues, workshops and reports since 1997, cross-feeding insights from consulting, research and teaching. He works with leading brands, exciting new tech companies and top universities to continuously extend insights and build ever-stronger networks. His client list includes, but is not limited to:
Alstom, Camfil, ChromaWay, EA DICE, EIT, Ericsson, Gränges, Mann+Hummel, Nettbuss, SEB, Siemens, SJ, Telia and Volvo.
For each assignment, Audax put together a small hand-picked team. We prefer to keep the teams small and work together with key people from the client organization in the projects. This fits our approach of close and genuine engagement, customization and knowledge transfer. We often challenge our clients, so respect, trust and integrity are of the essence. We involve ourselves deeply and personally, as we aim to remain a small trusted advisor rather than becoming a big diversified consultancy firm.
